Easily the best cafe in Bega and worth a drive from anywhere nearby. Staff are authentic, skilled and passionate about tradition, taste and presentation and it’s always a great experience visiting and having a chat. Make the trip, buy as much as you can; you wont regret it and will be back again after telling your friends. Garth.

A charming, family own Italian café in Bega. It’s not a big place, but it has such a warm and welcoming vibe. The owner’s kids often help with the service, which adds to the cozy and friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed a lovely brunch here, paired with excellent coffee. The display was full of tempting Italian pastries—Sfogliatella, tiramisu, and many other traditional treats. We couldn’t try them all, but I have to say, their tiramisu is truly outstanding and worth coming back for.

my favorite local coffee shop. I couldn’t get enough of their pistachio cannoli and almond croissants, both wonderfully flaky and nutty. My husband loved the vegetable quiche hearty and full of flavour. The coffee was top-notch, and the staff were so friendly. The vibe is warm and inviting, making it one of our favourite breakfast spots in town.

With its cozy, Italian-inspired decor and warm, welcoming ambiance, it’s a delightful escape for locals and visitors alike. The coffee here is outstanding—its cafe blend is smooth, balanced, and deeply satisfying, offering a comforting start to your day or a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. The staff are attentive, friendly, and make you feel right at home, adding to the already pleasant experience. One of the true stars of Osteria Da Franco’s menu has to be their flavored croissants. These buttery, flaky delights come with a creative twist—each one bursting with unique and decadent flavors that elevates the humble croissant to a new level of indulgence. It’s no surprise this cafe is a favorite among the locals. The atmosphere, quality, and service combine to make it a must-visit for anyone craving great coffee and delicious baked goods with a touch of Italian charm. Next time you’re in Bega, treat yourself to this little gem. You’ll leave with a happy heart—and possibly a bag of those croissants to go! Oh and for the motorcyclists amongst us, a great little bench for the helmets sits outside the cafe, unintentional I'm sure.
